"I might
not be a religious man myself but I know good music when I hear it, and this is very
good! . . . I dont think that I have ever given such high
ratings to so many songs before. But
the fact is that they are well deserved because the
music is amazing. Simply wonderful religious ballads and they
really get to your heart. . .everytime."
Fredrik Cole: Trax In Space
We lift our voice and fall to our knees in one accord,
To worship You together.
We lift our voice and fall to our knees in one accord,
To worship You together.
For Thou art Lord, our God and King,
Youre our Maker, our Savior, Redeemer.
For Thou art worthy to be praised.
Worthy, Worthy is the Lamb, Jesus.
Nails in Your hands, announcing Your sacrifice for us,
We worship You together.
Raised from the grave, proclaiming the victory given to us,
And You will reign forever.
For Thou art Lord, our God and King,
Youre our Maker, our Savior, Redeemer.
For Thou art worthy to be praised.
Worthy, Worthy is the Lamb, Jesus.
We glorify the Lord who redeemed us with His blood,
We worship Him together.
We lift our lives, to the Lord who has saved us with His love,
We will worship Christ forever.
For Thou art Lord, our God and King,
Youre our Maker, our Savior, Redeemer.
For Thou art worthy to be praised.
Worthy, Worthy is the Lamb, Jesus.

Song Story
"Richly encrafted details blended with perfect musical harmonies. It can
be nothing else than success!" Fredrik Cole: Trax in Space
I consider this to be the most musically profound praise song that I have written to date.
The chord progression is very unique creating a classical guitar-like style with a
Renaissance feel. The vocal line, with its contemporary-sounding melody, is extremely
singable by congregations. The verse is in a minor key with produces a very somber mood to
reflect the serious subject that is addressed.
One thing that is missing in much of our modern praise understandings is respect. In fact,
respect is conspicuously absent in many quarters of our society today. When we sing of God
and the work He did for us, we should hold Him in awe and wonder - for He is the Most High
God. Therefore, as the doctrines of Christ develop in We Lift Our Voice the gentle guitar,
piano and string parts support the melody in a way that conveys the majesty and glory of
God.
As the chorus enters, the declaration For Thou art Lord Our God and King rings out. At
that very moment, the key modulates to a major one as the singers respond enthusiastically
in gratuitous praise after reflecting on the serious words just proclaimed. The song
continues to rise until, at the end, the exuberant chorus rings on: Worthy, Worthy, is the
Lamb, Jesus!
This song always provided an uplifting experience for the congregation at Calvary Chapel
Bakersfield that I ministered to. When we recorded the praise album Let All Who Hath
Breath Praise the Lord which was released by Maranatha! Music, this song became part of a
medley which included the title song. Indeed, this cut became one of the most important of
the project, because you certainly want your title trac to turn our well.
Hence, you could imagine the awful feeling that we all felt when the sound engineer
informed us that he had just erased the drum trac right at the point where the climax of
the song was suppose to occur. We were devastated!
I could do nothing more than stare at him in disbelief! What were we going to do now?
After taking a few moments to gather his composure, he instructed me to go out into the
studio to the drum set and perform the first drum solo of my life. It was a very easy
part, but you have to understand that though I can play at will on the piano and pick on
the guitar, I can do nothing on the drums. Every time I get near to those skins I fall all
over myself.
Nonetheless, in lieu of recording the whole trac over again, I meandered out to the set,
grabbed a stick and pounded on the snare. After more takes than would seem sensible I laid
the part down. This began and ended my illustrious drumming career.
The results of the mix turned out very well. The cut certainly ministers in a powerful way
as believers are called to worship God as they fall to their knees in homage. God is not
only our friend, He is our mighty and glorious Creator. This song calls on believers to
praise Him while somberly acknowledging this fact.
