"I might
not be a religious man myself but I know good music when I hear it, and this is very
good! . . . I dont think that I have ever given such high
ratings to so many songs before. But
the fact is that they are well deserved because the
music is amazing. Simply wonderful religious ballads and they
really get to your heart. . .everytime."
Fredrik Cole: Trax In Space
He who will dwell in the shelter of the most high,
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty God.
I will call upon you, Lord, my Refuge and my Fortress. . . .My God.
He who proclaims the Most High as His dwelling place,
Will not fear, for the Lord will shield and cover him with love.
I will call upon you, Lord, my Savior and Deliverer. . . .My God.
I trust in You my Rock my Redeemer,
Trust in You, for youre a Tower of Strength.
I trust in You for under Your wings is salvation
For those who believe.
He will command His angels concerning you,
To guard you in all, your ways, theyll lift you up into their hands.
With my feet set on the Rock I will overcome, Youve rescued me. . .My God;
I trust in You my Rock my Redeemer,
Trust in You, for youre a Tower of Strength.
I trust in You for under Your wings is salvation
For those who believe. (Repeat Chorus)
For under your wings is salvation for those who believe.

Song Story
"I'm not a religious man
myself but good music never gets by me, and this is (as always) good. Vocals arranged
perfectly with a emotional laid back piano melody and drums to stand behind. . .it sounds
wonderful."
Fredrik Cole: Trax in Space
Song writing produces interesting lessons. I wrote this song in the early 80s. Though the
words and music came quickly to me I didnt care for the praise song very much and set it
aside. The chart must have set in the bottom of my piano bench for about a year. Yet I
could not get it out of my mind. I would go over the melody again-and-again in my head
trying to think of revisions that would make the song acceptable to me. . .but nothing
came to mind.
The song was set to Psalm 91 which profoundly tells of Gods provision for us. I loved that
scripture and desperately wanted to make it work musically. After a considerable amount of
time I determined that there was nothing that I could come up with to improve upon my
original ideas. I decided, therefore, to try it out on the Calvary Chapel congregation
that I lead in praise to see what their reaction would be. To my great surprise on the
very morning that I offered it, even while they were learning the song, the congregation
leaped in ecstatic praise. I Trust In You, exactly as I originally wrote it, became a
regular part of our worship service.
Years later I added a few verses and it became a part of the Selah repertoire. However, we
never had an opportunity to put it down on tape. Recently, though, we decided to make it a
part of Vanessas first solo album Amazing Grace. She always had sung the song with Selah
and it had become one of her favorites. Psalm 91 has become one of her favorites as well.
She uses it regularly in her ministry to others who need to be reassured of the provision
of God.
Before laying down her vocal trac I re-worked the instrumentals a bit by adding a piano
part that made the trac move. We decided to have Vanessa harmonize with herself and the
results were outstanding. When they kick in at the chorus the song rises to a great
proclamation of praise affirming our trust in the Lord. We sincerely pray that this song
will lift you up with the understanding that God is your provider.
Wigtune Company was formed as a service to the body of Christ. Our vision is to encourage scriptural worship in the Church by offering free praise music and hymns performed in a contemporary manner along with a free on-line worship study book for personal devotions, Bible study groups, Sunday schools, pastors, music ministers and ministry training.
