"I might
not be a religious man myself but I know good music when I hear it, and this is very
good! . . . I dont think that I have ever given such high
ratings to so many songs before. But
the fact is that they are well deserved because the
music is amazing. Simply wonderful religious ballads and they
really get to your heart. . .everytime."
Fredrik Cole: Trax In Space
Praise the Lord, let all who hath breath praise the Lord,
Till heaven abounds rejoicing,
O lift up your praise to the Lord.
Praise the Lord, let all who hath breath praise the Lord,
Till heaven abounds rejoicing,
O lift up your praise to the Lord.
Saying Jesus, Jesus
I love You, I love You.
Saying Jesus, Jesus
I love You, I love You.
Lift your hands, let all who hath breath lift your hands,
Till heaven abounds rejoicing,
O lift up your praise to the Lord.
Lift your hands, let all who hath breath lift your hands,
Till heaven abounds rejoicing,
O lift up your praise to the Lord.
Saying Jesus, Jesus,
I praise you, I praise You.
I Saying Jesus, Jesus,
I want you, I want you.
Saying Jesus, Jesus,
I need You, I need You.
Saying Jesus, Jesus,
I love You, I love You.
Praise the Lord, let all who hath breath praise the Lord,
Till heaven abounds rejoicing,
O lift up your praise to the Lord.

Song Story
Psalm 150 was a favorite Psalm of the young Christian musicians during the late 60s and
early 70s. In particular, the bands loved the part that commanded Gods people to praise
Him with the loud resounding cymbals. Many people in the body of Christ at the time were
under the opinion that drums were not appropriate for church. So these rock musicians
proclaimed this psalm with conviction right before the drummer began his solo.
However, drums have little to do with this rendition of the last verse of this famous
psalm. When I wrote it in the early 80s I enthusiastically supported the efforts of
Christian bands and we featured them regularly at Calvary Chapel evangelistic concerts.
Yet I heard something very deep and personal in the proclamation that everything that hath
breath must praise the Lord.
As a result, the song offered here turned out to be very smooth and mellow with wispy
acoustic guitars supporting a delicate melody. It was a congregational favorite and became
the title trac of the Calvary Chapel Praise Singers album that was released by Maranatha!
Music.
When we originally had the vision for the project one of the members of the group,
guitarist Pat OConnell, had access to professional 8-trac studio equipment and set it up
in his home. As it turned out, though the equipment was high quality, it was old. We
recorded the basic tracs with only two (high quality) mikes to a tape deck that turned out
to be ancient. After we recorded the vocal tracs to the song everything seemed to be fine.
However, the tape deck began to develop problems that made the music warble in pitch. The
situation became so frustrating that we shelved the project for a year!
Later I had an idea. Buck Owen Studio had an 8-trac tape deck, so I called the engineer
there, Jim Shaw, and asked if there was anything he could do. After listening to what we
came up with Jim became very enthused and encouraged us to continue on with the project.
We transferred what we had done to their 16-trac deck and continued on with the project.
We encountered a considerable amount of problems using the older tracs that had been
recorded in Pats home. Because of the enigma with the worn out tape deck there were some
songs that we had to nearly re-record. We replaced so many parts in one of our songs that
Jim commented, Its like keeping the radiator cap and driving a new car under it.
The problems with Let All Who Hath Breath were not quite that severe. However, the older
deck had produced a problem in this song that needed to be resolved. Though it had
recorded the basic instrumental tracs fine, it had warbled when laying down the vocals,
making them sound out of tune. After listening to it for a month I determined that I could
not live with it, so we brought in singers to re-record the vocals. The results were
fantastic!
I sent the cut along with others to Maranatha! Music and they just went ape over it. As a
result they decided to release the album on their own label. It is no longer being
distributed, so we decided to offer it up as an mp3 on the Internet. We pray that it will
bless you as it has blessed us.
