Vanessa sings this
exceptional song with the resounding vivacity of sincere joy in complete exultation of the
Lord. While supported by a stirring beat and awesome piano fills, full and exhilarating
harmonies chime out an uncompromised chorus of praise from the heart.
This was not an easy piece to
write. I probably have an inch-deep of paper left over from rough drafts that just didnt
work out. You would be surprised, after listening to the song, what it originally sounded
like. The chorus was always there and I insisted on keeping it because I felt they were
some of the best words of praise to God that I had ever written. . .And I loved the music.
However, I just couldnt come up with verses that did the chorus justice. One verse after
another was painfully written and discarded, and I was just about to give up. Suddenly,
though, everything suddenly came together.
When I got everything together I played it on the piano for Vanessa and she said it was
OK. This usually means that I need to go back to the drawing board. But this time I was
confident and knew that the vitalness of the song was being veiled by my average voice.
So I determined to come up with an instrumental arrangement of it to present to her once
again. When she finally heard the song she went crazy over it! I must admit that the
instrumentals took it over the top.
Vanessa laid some of her better vocals in this trac. The harmonies are outstanding, smooth
and sweet and support the powerful lyrics with enthusiasm! We are certain that you will be
uplifted in praise as you hear this remarkable praise piece.
